On a remote surf trip in the early days of ANIÁN, we stayed warm and dry in an army surplus Melton pea coat while our friends with synthetic jackets shivered in the rain. Knowing we’d found a material that deserved to be re-introduced, we started experimenting with Melton wool as soon as we got home—and before long, our best-loved and most iconic garment was born. To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’ve now sewn an exclusive run of our Modern Melton Wool shirt featuring unique three-tone colour blocking. With the same warm and weather-resistant post-consumer recycled wool that has served us so well throughout the years, these unique Meltons are durable, versatile, and made in a unique dye-free process that saves water and eliminates the need for harmful chemical dyes. The traditionally inspired design is finished with a button-down collar, drop-in chest pocket, single-button cuffs and a longer scooped hem that falls below the seat. A double yoke lies comfortably on the shoulders and adds additional weather protection, and an inset center-back pleat gives you more freedom to move. These shirts were a decade in the making—but as a very small run, they won’t be around for long.

MATERIAL + CARE

MATERIAL

17-oz 80% post-consumer recycled wool/20% nylon. Warm, durable and naturally weather-resistant, this comfortable blend is manufactured in a unique dye-free process for reduced environmental impact. Melton starts out a touch stiff, but softens quickly with wear.

WASHING GUIDE

Wash in cold water and hang to dry. Melton wool is naturally anti-bacterial and stain-resistant, and to reduce energy and water use, we recommend washing only when necessary. Less washing also gives your garments a longer life.

FIT

GARMENT FIT

Our traditional tailored fit has a moderately slim cut; to wear the Modern Melton as an overcoat, or to fit a more robust frame, we recommend moving up one size. For further details, see our sizing chart.

  • Applies to orders with delivery addresses within Canada.
  • Regular Parcel estimated (not guaranteed) arrival times are: orders within Lower MainLand: up to 2 business days. Orders within British Columbia: up to 5 business days. Orders outside British Colombia: up to 9 business days
  • Xpresspost estimated (not guaranteed) arrival times are: orders within Lower Mainland: next business day. Orders within British Colombia: 2-3 business days. Orders outside British Colombia: 3-4 business days.

When you place your order, we receive the order right away. We will start preparing your order and once we are complete we will notify you by email that your order is ready for pick-up! You can come pick up your order at our shop in downtown Squamish.

When you place your order, we will prepare it right away. We will then get in contact with you to discuss a good time for your order to be delivered.

Exchanges + Returns

At Wild And Heart, we want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchases. We understand that sometimes returns or exchanges are necessary. This Return Policy outlines our guidelines and procedures for returning or exchanging items purchased from our online store.

  • To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must be unused,  and in the same condition as when it was received. ( This does not include trying on clothing for sizing reason. )
